Photographing Models: What Makes a GREAT Model? How Do YOU Find Them?

Broadcast Live on June 30th, 2021

EPISODE NOTES

If you are going to be photographing models, it is actually fairly easy to find willing models using online platforms like Instagram or Model Mayhem or PurplePort, but the challenge is, aside from our own personal taste, what makes a great model and how can we tell if someone will be a good model or not?

Of course, we all want to work with a great model because we know it will help to make our photograph stand out. Unfortunately a lot of photographers have unrealistic expectations for what a model is responsible for and that leads to a disappointing experience for both the model and the photographer.

It is also VERY important to understand a little of the science behind beauty to give your work an edge when you are selecting your models.
