Are your photographs as good as you want them to be?
Are you struggling with Camera Technique? Lighting? Post Processing? Social Media? Marketing? Business?
A Photography Coach and Mentor could be the solution to your problem
We all know that Google and YouTube are great tools for finding information. They don’t give you a practical understanding of a technique or business situation based on real life experience. There is no information there created exactly for you and your situation.
Every successful photographer that I have met had a photography coach or mentor or BOTH who helped to shape his/her career success
You are probably asking why BOTH a Coach and Mentor?
A mentor is an experienced and trusted advisor who can guide, advise, and support you to achieve your goals and progress. A photography coach is a tutor who gives private or specialized training with a focus on helping you to learn rather than teaching you.
This may involve helping you achieve your personal photography or photography business goals. It will likely involve introducing you to new ways of thinking, challenging your limiting assumptions, sharing valuable photography experience, and much more.
Am I the right Photography Coach and Mentor for you?
In order to help you determine if this program is right for you, let’s begin with what is expected of YOU. The role of the mentee (that’s YOU), is to absorb the mentors knowledge and have the ambition and desire to know what to do with that knowledge. As a student, the mentee needs to take the initiative to practice and demonstrate what has been learned.
In other words, it is not up to me to tell you what is right or wrong. It is my role as your photography coach and mentor to help and guide you to accomplish what you like and want as a photographer — not what I like.
Ultimately, you will determine the amount of help and amount of guidance that is needed.
It is your responsibility to take the initiative to ask for help or advice and to tackle more challenging assignments without expecting me to provide “next steps”. This is not a class you are signing up for, and I am not the teacher who provides a grade.
The mentoring aspect of our relationship will be focused on your long-term photography goals and how you can best achieve them. As your mentor, I will focus on the goals that you define and help you set realistic expectations. I will share my experience and knowledge of the industry to guide you towards decisions that will ensure that you reach those goals. As your coach, I will help you improve your photography each step of the way and work with you on the short-term learning goals to improve your photography and or business and marketing skills.
I am a coach and mentor that will get to know you and sincerely care about your success. In that pursuit, I am honest — sometimes brutally honest, but always fair and willing to go to great lengths to assist in your success. But I will tell you upfront, I will not work harder on your success than you do.
This program is right for you if you want access to a photographer with over 50 years of experience with a camera. A photographer who not only has that much experience, but who has also successfully remained relevant in today’s rapidly evolving social media driven marketplace.
You will have direct access to me as your Photo Coach and Mentor
This is not a program with a bunch of canned, pre-recorded videos and lessons. Why would you pay for that when you can find it for free online? This is direct access, beginning with a 1 hour onboarding ZOOM call so that I can learn about you and your goals so that we can establish a timeline and curriculum that you can hold yourself accountable to.
As a member of my program you will have immediate access to my training portal that is loaded with member discounts from various manufacturers, articles that you can’t find elsewhere online and lighting diagrams for many of my images and photo shoots. The training portal also gives you access to other program members who are learning and improving their skills – just like you.
You will also have the ability to attend my weekly video meetups where you can have your images reviewed, get advice on camera techniques, troubleshooting lighting arrangements and more. We frequently work through shoot planning with group members as well as marketing, pricing, client interactions and even the occasional equipment decisions. Nothing is off limits. The video meetups are a great opportunity to meet and interact with other photographers who are experiencing the same learning curve as you – in a safe, nonjudgmental and friendly environment.
