Program Summary
Successful photo shoots rarely happen by accident. Many photographers focus primarily on camera settings and lighting, but overlook the planning and preparation that often determine whether a shoot runs smoothly or becomes frustrating and unproductive.

In this presentation, award-winning photographer and educator Joe Edelman explains how thoughtful preparation can dramatically improve the outcome of any photo shoot. Participants will learn how to plan concepts, organize equipment, communicate with collaborators, and anticipate potential challenges before they happen. By developing a consistent approach to preparation, photographers will gain confidence, reduce stress during shoots, and create an environment that allows creativity and productivity to thrive.

Particular emphasis will be placed on people photography, portraits, and working with models.
